My work is multidisciplinary and ranges widely, covering topics as diverse as understanding the use of café spaces, accounting regulations, the anonymisation of data, and financial resilience in charities. I have particular research interests in making effective use of confidential government data, in statistical disclosure control, in the low-wage labour market, and in applied policy analysis. M

I am an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in Economics at the University of Stirling School of Management. I am a Fellow of the Global Labor Organization.
As an Applied Microeconomist, my research interests lie at the intersection of labour, political economy, development and historical economics. My current research focuses on labour markets, pollution, historical income inequality, and nutrition.
