GENERAL INFORMATION

The conference will be hybrid: most sessions will be fully in-person here in Glasgow, while some will be fully virtual sessions (i.e. all speakers will make their presentation virtually via Zoom. All the sessions tagged "online" will have all speakers in Zoom.  There will be a dedicated room in the venue where in-person participants can view the virtual sessions.

Joining Virtual Sessions as a virtual participant
All sessions on the programme will be available to watch on Zoom  for virtual participants. To join any session, you need to be logged into this platform (log in area at the top right side of platform / email is your registration email).

Once you are logged in, please go to the session you wish to view and to enter the ZOOM, you need to click the JOIN ROOM button (with the video camera icon).

Once in this meeting, participants will be able to select the breakout room that corresponds with the session they wish to attend. The breakout rooms will be named for the physical room they represent, for example, Room 201, Room 218, Room 227 and so on. Please refer to the programme to determine which session you should join. Please note thtat finding the correct breakout time room may take a few minutes so please join a few minutes before the session starts. Virtual participants will have permission to join, leave, and re-join the breakout rooms. For information on how to join the breakout rooms, please click here.

Venue
The conference will take place at The University of Glasgow, St Andrews Building, which is approximately 10 minutes walk from the main university building. Please view here for information on how to arrive. Floor plans of the venue are attached at bottom of page under the button FLOOR PLANS.

Coffee breaks and meals
Lunches, tea and coffee will be served in the gymnasium on the ground floor. Directions will be clearly signposted throughout the building. 

Internet Access
WiFi will be available throughout the building.

Password: This network is not password protected.
Please note, if you are inactive on this network for more than 15 minutes you will be signed out of the network. If this happens you can disconnect and reconnect to get back online.

Social Programme
Welcome Reception - The welcome reception will take place at the Òran Mór on Monday 25 April from 6pm until 8pm with drinks and nibbles. Address: 731-735 Great Western Rd, Glasgow G12 8QX Badges must be worn to gain access. 
Conference Dinner - The Sir Alec Cairncross Memorial dinner will take place at Trades Hall on Tuesday 26 April from 7pm. Address: 85 Glassford Street, Glasgow G1 1UH Badges must be worn to gain access

Coronavirus Protocols
Face Coverings
 - During the conference, staff, speakers, and attendees are encouraged to wear face coverings by the Scottish Government unless they are medically exempt. It is NOT any longer a legal requirement to wear face coverings in all indoor communal areas.
